Research Directory
This listing aims to meet the needs of customers, practitioners, academic researchers and students who want to know more about aspects of Investors in People.
The Standard has attracted the attention of researchers who have sought to assess its contribution in areas such as business performance, competitiveness, change management and the development of people. This directory summarises a selection of projects undertaken by a wide variety of organisations in recent years. Their availability is a contribution to the discussion and debate around the continuous improvement of organisation and their people.

Investors in People UK wishes to stress that it had management control only over those projects which the company commissioned directly. As this directory contains summaries of research commissioned by other organisations, Investors in People UK cannot accept responsibility for the rigour and conduct of such work, the opinions expressed, findings, and any conclusions drawn. But, we hope this directory represents a fair summary of all the research work included.

This directory is updated periodically. Investors in People UK will be pleased to hear from organisations commissioning and reporting research which may include references to Investors in People.

Investors in People Recruitment & Selection of a Diverse Workforce

Summary
Over the summer a small piece of qualitative research with about 40 customers was undertaken to test out how favourable IIP organisations would be to incorporating something on the recruitment and selection of a diverse workforce in the next review of the Standard. The research highlighted that we could potentially loose customers if we were to stretch the Standard even further in this area but that they would welcome support and guidance on how to be better in this area. IIPUK met with the CRE, DRC and EOC in October who were sympathetic to this and have agreed to pull together some guidance that we can disseminate to customers and to Practitioners through the learning portal.
